Nautor’s Swan has revealed the new Swan 58, a 17.96 metre “bluewater fast cruiser” yacht concept during Day 1 at Boot Dusseldorf. Signed by German Frers, the Swan 58 needs to combine the spaces of a bluewater with a fast cruiser performances. But how to do it?

The bluewater fast cruiser concept

Bluewater cruising is a concept that brings dreams of travelling around the world. When it’s time to realize this dream and choose the proper boat however, only then do you start focusing on priorities: safety first, comfort second, autonomy third. All these at a cost – potentially performance

The new Swan 58 has been designed right around this concept: a proper bluewater yacht, with all the features for this purpose, but without any compromise in terms of performance.

Key details include a deck featuring soft and rounded shapes, a new cockpit design, a redefined coach-roof style and a large swimming platform. The concept is easy: to give the maximum comfort and liveability at rest, together with maximum efficiency for short-handed sailing, without losing the capability to race with a full crew.

58 is a new number for the Swan family – there has never been a model of this size before, but, like every new Swan, the 58 is the result of a long and accurate process of evolution and development

Nautor’s Swan

The interiors of the new Swan 58, which is fitted with European oak, have been conceived as a combination between luxury and comfortable living spaces, storage and volumes for systems and safety features; we find here a large saloon, a galley with a 360 degree layout and three heads. Various interior styling layouts are available varying woods and materials.

Accommodation is for six guests in an owner’s suite forward and two guest cabins aft, with the option of a fourth cabin amidships.
